Doug Conner

Doug has spent the last 30 years buying and selling lower-middle market businesses throughout the Midwest. However, it was his first professional decade as a Marketing Representative at IBM, a Baker Scholar at Harvard Business School, and a consultant at Bain & Company that established his focus as foremost a value-added partner to executive teams.

The last three decades included two stints at boutique Midwest investment banks, leading a wide variety of transactions, including initial public offerings, buy and sell-side M&A transactions, valuations, and fairness opinions. These two positions bookended an over 15-year period investing as a Principal of Cardinal Ventures and as a Founding Principal of BrightPath Capital. In these roles, Doug was involved in 30+ platform and add-on transactions while being intimately involved in portfolio company oversight.

Doug currently serves as the Chairman of Wood-Mizer Holdings, Inc., the world's largest manufacturer of portable and mid-sized narrow band sawmills. Based in Indianapolis, Wood-Mizer is 100% ESOP-owned.
