Ryan Grand

Ryan leads EO Capital Partners, the firm’s principal investing group. He is responsible for sourcing new investments, leading transactions, and working with management teams throughout their partnership with EO. Ryan brings a passion for solving problems and strategic thinking to assist companies in achieving their goals.

Ryan has spent the bulk of his career within the institutional private equity landscape. He has led deal origination teams, evaluated and closed new investment opportunities, and actively managed portfolio companies at the board level. Ryan has dedicated himself to creating long-lasting relationships within M&A communities across North America. He is focused on creating an environment of trust and mutual collaboration, while also working to maximize value for all stakeholders. Prior to joining EO, Ryan was a Principal at HKW, an Indianapolis-based private equity firm.

Ryan began his career as an investment banker in municipal finance at Mesirow Financial, followed by a stint at Jefferies LLC. During his time at these institutions, he worked on over $3 billion of financings supporting state and local governments across the Midwest. Directly out of undergrad, he worked at the Indianapolis office of Crowe LLP in a similar capacity - advising Indiana governmental entities with their municipal finance needs.

Ryan is active in the local community through assisting several charitable endeavors and participating in the Midwest angel investing ecosystem. 

Ryan graduated summa cum laude from Wabash College and earned his MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.

Ryan resides in Indianapolis, Indiana with his wife Alison and their two daughters, Lily and Meredith. Outside of the office, Ryan enjoys golfing and is an avid world traveler.
